Samuel Rodrigues is a first-year associate admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, specializing in the areas of premises liability, transportation, construction, and other general liability matters.  Additionally, Mr. Rodrigues has expertise in contract litigation and negotiation as well as intellectual property licensing.

Prior to joining Callahan & Fusco, Mr. Rodrigues worked in the office of General Council of the world’s premier mixed martial arts promoter the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).  During his tenure with the UFC, Mr. Rodrigues was responsible for several subject areas from contracts, employment law, protecting the company’s intellectual property, and even antitrust matters.

In addition, Mr. Rodrigues also worked for New Jersey State Senator Bob Smith where he compiled researched into areas of concern to the Senator, including new studies regarding efficiently and safely recycling electronics, new regulations in the wake of Hurricane Sandy regarding companies who specialized in raising homes.  

While in law school at Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law, Mr. Rodrigues performed pro bono work for the university’s Arts, Sports, and Entertainment Law Clinic where he successfully negotiated recording contracts for new struggling artists as well as successfully registered artistic trademarks and copyrights for those same artists.
