James W. McCartney serves as Senior Counsel in Callahan & Fusco’s New Jersey office. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Puerto Rico state and federal courts.
Jim has extensive experience in transportation, premises liability, construction defect, product liability, surety bond, civil rights and labor and employment matters. Over more than three decades, he has successfully represented numerous insurance carriers, independent contractors, public entities and public utilities New Jersey, New York, and Puerto Rico. He been first chair in over 30 trials in New Jersey and Puerto Rico state and federal courts, and has handled complex cases involving death and catastrophic injuries.
Prior to joining Callahan & Fusco, Jim worked at firms in New Jersey, New York and Puerto Rico. Most recently, he served as a partner in a prominent regional firm on a range of matters, including premises liability, construction defect and municipal liability.
