Jorge M. Franco is a Senior Associate at Callahan Fusco, LLC. where he represents clients in complex civil litigation across New York, New Jersey and D.C. His practice focuses on: Transportation and Trucking, Construction and Labor Law §240(1)/§241(6), Premises Liability, and General Negligence actions, as well as insurance coverage and risk transfer matters.
Jorge has litigated a wide range of civil cases from inception through resolution, including high-exposure construction and trucking accidents, multi-party contractor disputes, and catastrophic injury claims. He has conducted and defended numerous depositions of injured workers, contractors, site supervisors, and medical experts—developing precise cross-examinations that effectively challenge liability, causation, and claimed damages.
Jorge regularly drafts and argues dispositive motions, discovery applications, and appellate briefs in both state and federal courts, securing outright dismissals and favorable resolutions for insurers, third-party administrators, and self-insured entities. He has earned a reputation for his detailed case preparation, strong negotiation skills, and pragmatic approach to early resolution—consistently achieving optimal results for his clients.
Before joining Callahan Fusco, Jorge practiced at Pillinger Miller Tarallo, Brooks & Berne PLLC, and Jack Jaffa & Associates, where he gained extensive experience defending complex insurance, construction, and product liability matters. Earlier in his career, he served as a Trademark and Crypto Attorney with Bold IP, where he drafted and prosecuted intellectual property applications and advised clients on licensing and portfolio strategy.
Jorge earned his Joint Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts School of Law, where he received a U.S. Patent Publication (U.S. Patent No. 9,656,120 B1) for a weightlifting device he developed as part of his studies. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a Minor in Chemistry from Northern Arizona University.
An active speaker on the intersection of law, technology, and regulation, Jorge has been invited to present at leading industry conferences and venues—including Radio City Music Hall, The Javits Center, The Hilton Times Square, and Queen’s Center in London—on topics such as NFT regulation, SEC enforcement, and intellectual property in the digital economy.
Jorge is admitted to the Bars of New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and several federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys marathon running, golf, and chess.
