David P. Cerqueira (he/him) is an Associate in the New Jersey office of Callahan & Fusco. Mr. Cerqueira focuses on the areas of personal injury, including premise liability, auto accidents, and trucking liability, as well as complex commercial and general civil litigation, and matters involving community associations and property management.

While in law school, Mr. Cerqueira served as a Judicial Intern with the Honorable Terry Paul Bottinelli, J.S.C. (ret.) of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, Family Division, and the Honorable Donald A. Kessler, J.S.C. (ret.) of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County, General Equity Division. Mr. Cerqueira also served as Judicial Intern with the Honorable Stacey L. Meisel, U.S.B.J. of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Cerqueira gained experienced clerking at well-respected mid-size and small New Jersey based law firms. Mr. Cerqueira also dedicated time to pro bono work with Essex-Newark legal services of New Jersey in landlord-tenant matters.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Cerqueira served as a Judicial Law Clerk with the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella, U.S.B.J., the former Chief Justice of the Bankruptcy Court and current Justice of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Cerqueira also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Terry Paul Bottinelli, J.S.C. (ret.) in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, Family Division. 

Prior to Joining Callahan & Fusco, Mr. Cerqueira was an associate at a prominent mid-size New Jersey based law firm where he practiced labor law and bankruptcy law, as well as a small law firm where he practiced civil litigation, criminal law, and personal injury law. Mr. Cerqueira is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
