Matthew B. Sicheri (he/him) is an associate in the New Jersey office of Callahan & Fusco.  Mr. Sicheri focuses his practice on the areas of personal injury, motor vehicle liability, premise liability, products liability, and other civil litigation matters, both general and complex, throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Sicheri also focuses his practice in the areas of New Jersey Estate Planning, including probating Estates, Estate Litigation, and the drafting of Estate Planning Documents (i.e., Wills, Power of Attorneys, Health Care Directives, and Trust Agreements).

While Mr. Sicheri attended law school, he interned for two summers, 2016 and 2017, with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Appellate Unit.  During his internship, Mr. Sicheri drafted appellate briefs for direct appeals, post-conviction relief appeals, and intra office memoranda for various Assistant Prosecutors.  In his second summer, Mr. Sicheri argued municipal appeals for the Prosecutor’s Office.  Since his first year of law school, Mr. Sicheri volunteered his time for the Delaware Chapter of Wills For Heroes, which is a national organization that drafts free estate planning documents for first responders/military veterans and their families.

During his final year of law school, Mr. Sicheri interned with the Honorable Paula T. Dow, P.J.Ch. in the New Jersey Superior Court for Burlington County from August 2017 until May 2018.  In his position, Mr. Sicheri conducted legal research, reviewed General Equity, Foreclosure, and Probate motions, and synthesized the positions and contentions of the parties for Judge Dow’s review or for drafts of legal memoranda. 

Mr. Sicheri served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable John C. Porto, J.S.C during the 2018-2019 Court Term in the New Jersey Superior Court for Atlantic/Cape May Counties.  In his position, Mr. Sicheri worked closely with large, national firms for the Multi-County Litigation cases assigned to Judge Porto by the New Jersey Supreme Court. In addition to assisting Judge Porto with the Mass Tort/Multi-County Litigation cases, Mr. Sicheri reviewed civil motions, conducted legal research to assist Judge Porto with his decisions, and drafted legal memoranda for the Prerogative Writs, Mount Laurel Obligations, Civil Motions, and Chancery, Probate, and Foreclosure matters overseen by Judge Porto.  Moreover, Mr. Sicheri served as a mediator for small claims matters in Atlantic County.
