John Delaney is an Associate at Callahan & Fusco. He joined the firm in 2023. Prior to joining Callahan & Fusco, he was an assistant District Attorney with the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for ten years.

During his tenure, he was chief of the Department of Correction Prosecution Unit; He was a member of the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit; and member of the Administrative Subpoena Unit.

John has represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at trial well-over fifty times in all the district courts in Norfolk County. He served as a supervising attorney in several district courts in Norfolk County responsible for advising attorneys, assigning work, and assisting in the day-to-day activities.

For the past five years, John prosecuted major felonies ranging from attempted murder, motor vehicle homicide and serious personal injury, narcotics trafficking, and domestic violence cases in Norfolk Superior Court. During that time, he presented complex grand jury investigations, litigated motions to suppress, and served as first-chair at multiple trials in Norfolk Superior Court.  

Prior to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, he served as a judicial intern for Hon. Paul A. Chernoff (ret.), conducting legal research, drafting opinions, and assisted the court during courtroom proceedings.

During law school, John served as a law clerk for Baker, Braverman & Barbadoro P.C., where he appeared in court under the direct supervising attorney. He conducted legal research, drafted motions, and assisted the supervising attorney at trial.

During college, he played for the Suffolk University Men’s Hockey Team for four years and received Suffolk Hockey Rookie of the Year Honors in 2004.  He was also named captain by his peers in 2006-2007 season.
